Economical
The Allegro is inexpensive to own and offers excellent performance. The unusual combination of metal flying surfaces and composite fuselage combine simple construction and low drag resulting in consumption of just 13.5 lts/hr (3.7 gal/hr) at 175km/hr (110 mph).
Many German aircraft manufacturers sub-contract construction to high-skill low cost countries like Poland and the Czech Republic, but the Allegro is 100% designed and built in Czech which explains the relatively low price for an aircraft of this quality.
Multirole
The Allegro is an efficient and well-designed aircraft that is well suited to touring, training and sport flying around the world. The 80hp version is very popular in the USA, the Australians prefer the 100hp in their hot climate, the SW is widely used in French flying schools and the floatplane version has sold well in Scandanavia.
Practicality and performance
Comfortable and adjustable seating, large doors, a huge baggage area, low noise and fast economical cruise speeds make it a good tourer.
It’s precise handling, forgiving flying characteristics, excellent visibility and sturdy construction means it is a good training aircraft.
With its STOL characteristics, there are few places the Allegro cannot go.
The Allegro has been continuously developed and can be fitted with floats, glider towing equipment and long range tanks. A wide range of options and color schemes are available to personalise the aircraft to each owner’s specification.
Safe sport flying
The Allegro is a proven design with excellent flight qualities. It is stable and manoeuvrable and the high seating position gives good visibility forward for landing. Electric 48 degree flaps allow stall speeds under 40 mph / 65 kph with short landings and roll out. An integral stall warning and ballistic parachute are options. The spacious cockpit with its relaxed sports car style seating and unobstructed low-mounted dash ensure a comfortable flying environment.
